Q: When is the best time for me to start laser treatments?
A: Anytime is the best time, however, the skin must be tan free and limited sun exposure (must wear sunscreen) during treatments.
Treatment completion takes a few months, so starting in the early fall will provide the desired results by summer.
Q:How many treatments does it take?
A: Hair removal involves approximately 6 treatments. However, depending on the regular visits suggested by the technician and your hair type, skin type, comfort, ect., treatments could be a bit more or perhaps a bit less.
Skin rejuvenation, vein therapy, rosacea treatments, and etc., also involve a series of treatments, while some may only need one or two, while others may need 6 to 8 depending on the treatment.
Q: Why does it take more than one treatment to remove hair?
A:The variable pulsed light machine can only treat active hair with each visit. Our bodies produce active hair cycles, while other hair is non-active. If all of our hair were in the active cycle at once, the machine would be capable of completing the treatment with one visit. Unfortunetly, our bodies do not operate that way, so we treat the desired area approximately every 4 to 8 weeks for approximately 6 sessions to capture all of the hair growth cycles.
Q: Does is hurt?
A:The treatments can be mildly uncomfortable, but very tolerable. The technician does the best to promote a pleasurable visit. Numbing cream can be used to provide less discomfort.
